OUR GALVANIZING PROCESS

1.
Firstly the Steel must be cleaned from any dirt/ grease, so is dipped in hydrochloric acid.
2.

The Steel is then dipped into a molten zinc bath (450°C). The typical time it is left in for is about 5 minutes.
3.

After immersion, a layer of molten zinc will be taken out on top of the alloy layer. Often this cools to exhibit the bright shiny appearance associated with galvanized products.
4.

Post galvanizing treatment can include quenching into water or air cooling and shot blasting.
Powder coating may be applied for additional protection where the environment is extremely aggressive
